The Open Christianity SubReddit describes itself as a community for progressive Christians and friends to discuss faith, show support, and share inspiration for spiritual journeys. A recent post by one user talked about God’s love for trans people and proudly said that being trans is not a mistake. God did not make a mistake by creating trans people. The post writer accepts having gender dysphoria but also feels that this makes them feel confident, happy, and comfortable, which would never have happened if they were just a cisgender person. The post created a significant response. The post says “I don’t know why God made me transgender, but he was wise in doing so.” The writer also mentions John 4:7-8 Beloved, let us love one another because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. and Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. This post is about finding comfort in faith and understanding God in your own way, as God is for all. It is about the ability to empathize with the struggles of other trans individuals and see the love of God reflected in their relationships and self-acceptance. Guess Which Country Supports Marriage Equality The Most

New Pew Research Center analysis shows that Western European countries are most heavily in favor of marriage equality. Pew has conducted surveys in 32 countries in the past two years. Support was highest in Sweden, where 92 percent of respondents favored equal marriage rights for same-sex couples. Other countries in Western Europe were not far behind, with 89 percent support in the Netherlands, 87 percent in Spain, 82 percent in France, and 80 percent in Germany. Each of those countries has legalized same-sex marriage . In Italy, where legalization is being debated but hasn't yet happened, 73 percent of respondents endorsed marriage equality. In the United Kingdom, support stood at 74 percent, and all parts of the U.K. have enacted marriage equality.
